Acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Charlie Worsham’s new “Believe in Love (Live from The Mockingbird)” performance video premiered yesterday at Sounds Like Nashville, who declares, “heartwarming…a swaying country lullaby, with delicate harmony, whisper-soft drums and Worsham’s tip-toeing guitar work.” Watch/share the video HERE.

Reflecting on the video, Worsham shares, “A couple months back, I gathered with some dear friends who played on my forthcoming EP to jam on those same songs live and in person. I’ve known some of them since college, and most of us have been playing and singing together for years, not just on my records but on records for everyone from Luke Combs to Eric Church. ‘Believe in Love’ was particularly poignant to sing at the Mockingbird, because one thing I believe in without question is the power and beauty of old friends.” 

“Believe in Love” is from Worsham’s anticipated new EP, Sugarcane, which will be released this Friday, July 16 via Warner Music Nashville (pre-order here). Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town), Sugarcane is an emotional homecoming for Worsham. What began as personal reflections from a daily writing exercise, grew into something much more universal—six new songs that celebrate the love, perseverance, struggle and joy experienced through life and the people who are there through it all.

Ahead of the release, Worsham has unveiled two additional tracks: “Half Drunk” and “Fist Though This Town,” of which Billboard declares, “compelling from the first note,” while Music Row praises, “Super powerful...the hard-times lyric and its blue-collar attitude grab you by your coat lapels and command you to pay heed. Brilliance all around.”

The new music follows Worsham’s 2017 album, Beginning of Things, and furthers his reputation as an artist with “undeniable musical talent” (NPR Music). Since the release of his 2013 debut, Rubberband, Worsham has established himself as one of Nashville’s most beloved and well-respected artists. In addition to his own music, he’s a frequent collaborator including work with Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Brandy Clark, Luke Combs, Vince Gill, Kacey Musgraves, Marty Stuart, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban among several others. He also earned a nomination for Specialty Instrument Player of the Year at the 55th ACM Awards and has toured extensively across the world including numerous shows performing as of part of Old Crow Medicine Show as well as dates with Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Kenny Rogers, Lee Ann Womack, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
